Mission: To support musicians, who contribute so much to the health and well-being of the community
History: The Ross and Gladys Hanna Community Concert was established in 2015 to honor the long-time contributions of Ross and Gladys Hanna to the musical arts in Dixon. Ross served as director of the Phirehouse Philharmonic that delighted Dixon audiences for many decades and raised a lot of money for various charitable organizations. Gladys was always at his side, singing and performing in many productions. Since Ross’ death in 2014, Gladys has continued to be an enthusiastic supporter of music in community life.
The concerts are held in the historic sanctuary of Dixon United Methodist Church, located at 209 N. Jefferson St., across from the Dixon Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, available on Eventbrite or at the door.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit the musicians. For more information, call the church office at 707-678-2191, email at dixonumc, or check our Facebook page.
